Shell Omala S2 GX is a high performance EP (extreme pressure) oil developed primarily for the lubrication of heavy-duty industrial gearboxes. High load capacity, protection against micropitting, and compatibility with seals and paints provide excellent performance in enclosed gear applications. It has been formulated to reduce the risk of thermal and chemical decomposition throughout the service interval and has excellent corrosion resistance properties. The oil resists high thermal loads and resists sludge formation to ensure longer oil life.
