Long description
Skiving machines are designed to accurately and efficiently remove the outer rubber layer of hydraulic hoses. This results in a clean and smooth surface that allows optimal sealing and joining. Depending on the type of hose, skiving may be needed internally or externally and helps ensure a perfect fit between the hose, insert and ferrule. The correct skiving and press sizes are predetermined by the manufacturer and can be found in the hose press tables.

  • The skiving length is adjustable on the mandrel
  • For each nominal hose diameter, a separate mandrel is required for external and, if necessary, internal skiving
  • The mandrels can be easily replaced using a quick-change device
