Our story
Kramp was founded in 1951 by 34-year-old Johan Kramp from Varsseveld in the Netherlands, who purchased a stock of spare parts for mowers and went from farm to farm selling them on. The business quickly proved successful, and rapidly grew.
In 1977, Kramp crossed borders, opening a branch in Hamminkeln (Germany). Operations in Belgium, France and the UK soon followed. Before long, Kramp realised how important fast delivery times were for its customers, so it introduced overnight deliveries.
Thanks to its rapid growth, Kramp now operates in 28 European countries. Its staff in all the international locations work together to make one large European company, but without losing their local roots. In each location we have close relationships with our customers and speak their language. The Kramp motto is: Think Global, Act Local.
